明野サンフラワー

ひまわり畑を見るたびに思い出すのが、映画「ひまわり」です。日本での公開は1970年で、主演は、Marcello Mastroianni,とSophia Lorenでした。当時、私は、20代の映画好きな青年でした。映画は、悲惨な戦争が恋人同士を割いていくことを描きながら、ソフィア。ローレン役のジョバンナがモスクワまで恋人のアントニオを探しに行き、降り立った地は、かつてイタリア軍が戦闘していたという南部ウクライナの街で、ジョバンナの前に、地平線の彼方まで続くひまわり畑が広がっている。多くの兵士たちがこのひまわりの下に眠っているといわれている。この映画の一シーンが今でも脳裏に焼き付いている。音楽担当のHenry ManciniとVittorio De Sicaと監督が仕上げた素晴らしい映画でした。まったく、明野のサンフラワーと関係のない話をしてしまいました。申し訳ありません。今年は、コロナの影響もあり「サンフラワー・フェスタ」が中止になってしましましたが、沢山の人々が訪れていました。
Sunflower
Whenever I see a field of sunflowers, I recall the movie "Sunflower". The movie was released in Japan in 1970 and starred Marcello Mastroianni and Sophia Loren. At the time, I was a young man in my twenties who loved movies. The movie is about a tragic war that breaks up two lovers. Giovanna, who plays Sophia Lauren, goes to Moscow to look for her boyfriend Antonio, and lands in a southern Ukrainian city where Italian troops used to fight, and in front of Giovanna, there is a field of sunflowers that stretches to the far horizon. It is said that many soldiers are sleeping under these sunflowers. A scene from this movie is still burned into my mind. It was a wonderful movie directed by Vittorio De Sica and the music director Henry Mancini .I'm sorry for talking about something that has nothing to do with Sunflower in Akeno. I apologize for that.This year, the Sunflower Festa was cancelled due to the effects of Corona, but there were still many people who came to visit.
